BREEAM - Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method Ene 01: Ene 01 Reduction of energy use and carbon emissions

To keep carbon emissions, primary energy use and operational energy demand as low as possible: up to fifteen credits from the EPR-INC (the scheme's Energy Performance Ratio for international new-build), calculated with approved building energy calculation software from the modelled improvement over the notional building in energy demand, primary energy and carbon emissions and scored on the benchmark scale from 0.06 for one credit to 0.9 for fifteen, with Excellent requiring six credits (EPR 0.36) and Outstanding ten (EPR 0.6); where no national calculation method exists, an alternative modelling approach or the energy efficient design features checklist; exemplary credits for zero net regulated carbon and beyond, with post-construction energy performance reporting.
