Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2) s55: s 55 Supply goods reasonably fit for any disclosed purpose or purpose represented

A supplier of goods to a consumer (other than by auction) guarantees that they are reasonably fit for any particular purpose the consumer made known, expressly or by implication, to the supplier, the person who conducted the negotiations, or the manufacturer, and for any purpose for which the supplier represents they are fit, unless the consumer did not rely, or it was unreasonable to rely, on the skill or judgment of the supplier, negotiator or manufacturer.
