Part 2-2: general duties of accountable authorities, accountable authority instructions, government policy, and the general duties of officials (sections 14 to 32) – Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act)

Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) 22: Corporate Commonwealth entities: ensure compliance with any government policy order that applies to the entity, and so far as practicable in relation to its subsidiaries

What does 22 require?

The Finance Minister may make a government policy order specifying an Australian Government policy that is to apply to one or more corporate Commonwealth entities, after being satisfied that the Minister responsible for the policy has consulted the entity. Where an order applies, the accountable authority must ensure the order is complied with in relation to the entity and, so far as practicable, in relation to any subsidiary. An order is a legislative instrument that is not subject to disallowance.
