A fire sprinkler fitter required to be on call outside ordinary hours must be readily contactable by phone throughout the stand-by, and is entitled to: for permanent rostered stand-by, a weekly amount per 7 days; otherwise, a nightly amount for each Monday to Friday on call and a daily amount for each weekend day or public holiday spent on call, each being the amount in clause 17.2 of the current award (consolidated to 16 September 2026, read 30 September 2026); plus reimbursement of what the employee pays to rent their telephone.
