Early childhood supports promote the child's rights, build functional skills and enable participation with peers: deliver support at home, in the community and in education settings; ask about the child's goals and strengths and the family's culture, language, values and beliefs; set goals with the family with a clear review timeline; build strategies into play and daily routines; coordinate with the other professionals involved; coach the family, educators and support workers; use evidence-based assessment tools and measure progress; and avoid recommending therapy hours that crowd out play, rest and family time. Restrictive practices are never used or advised except by a registered provider permitted to do so.
This control maps to 3 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 3 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
