Explain in the service agreement what will be provided, when and where, and the skills of the staff; follow through on agreed actions and keep families informed; give families copies of all written reports; give cost, consent and risk information in an easy-to-understand way; say when a support should not be provided (for example lack of qualification or a conflict of interest) and discuss honestly when the NDIS is unlikely to fund something; market services accurately. Providers never give inaccurate information about their qualifications, and do not exaggerate results, pressure families (for example with fear of missing a place or of the child not catching up) or charge NDIS participants more without a valid reason.
