Two or more Class 2 to 9 buildings connected through openings in their dividing walls, and together complying with the NCC as though a single building, are a united building and are not required to meet additional NCC provisions for the connection (A7G1). If, after alterations, buildings cease to be connected through such openings, each building no longer connected must comply with all the requirements for a single building (A7G2).
