Volume One contains the requirements for all Class 2 to 9 buildings, access requirements for people with a disability in Class 1b and 10a buildings, and certain Class 10b structures; Volume Two covers Class 1 and 10a buildings and most Class 10b structures; Volume Three covers plumbing and drainage design, construction, installation, replacement, repair, alteration and maintenance across all building classes, from the point of connection to the point of discharge (A1G1 to A1G3). Explanatory information and introductory text are non-mandatory; italicised words follow the Schedule 1 definitions (plus State or Territory appendix definitions); Application, Limitation and Exemption statements, and Notes, are each mandatory where used; figures illustrate but do not exhaustively state requirements. A reference to a building class includes all its sub-classifications (A1G4).
