Australia Model Work Health and Safety Regulations r557: r 557 Prepare, consult on, share, test and implement the MHF emergency plan

The operator prepares an emergency plan addressing all health and safety consequences of a major incident, covering the Schedule 16 matters and providing for testing and its frequency; consults the area's emergency service organisations and, for off-site consequences, the local authority; addresses their recommendations on testing (manner, frequency, participation) and on which events to notify them of, having regard to other advice; keeps a copy at the facility and gives copies to those and other relevant emergency services; tests it as recommended before applying for a licence; implements it immediately if a major incident occurs or an event could reasonably be expected to lead to one; and notifies the emergency services of the agreed incidents or events.
