Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing the Work Environment and Facilities
Section 3: Facilities – Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing the Work Environment and Facilities

Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing the Work Environment and Facilities 3.1: 3.1 Give all workers access to facilities within reasonable reach and time

Workers, including those with particular needs or disabilities, must have access to facilities. Facilities may not need to be provided if existing ones are close, suitable and workers have the opportunity to use them, which means workers are given breaks to use them, facilities are within a reasonable distance of the work area, workers on different shifts have similar access and the route is safe at all times. Construction workplaces follow the facilities guidance in the model Code of Practice: Construction work.
