Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing the Work Environment and Facilities 3.0: 3 Provide and maintain adequate and accessible facilities in good order

Under WHS Regulation 41 a PCBU must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, adequate facilities for workers, including toilets, drinking water, washing and eating facilities, in good working order, clean, safe and accessible. In deciding what is adequate and accessible it must consider the nature of the work, the physical and psychosocial hazards, the size, location and nature of the workplace, and the number and composition of workers. Temporary, mobile or remote workplaces may not be able to have the same facilities as fixed workplaces. Appendix C illustrates a gardening and an office workplace.
