Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing the Risks of Plant in the Workplace 3.3b: 3.3 Lift persons only in a work box and with plant specifically designed where possible (rr 219 and 220)

If plant is used to lift or suspend persons and it is not reasonably practicable to use plant specifically designed for it, the person with management or control must ensure the plant does not cause a greater risk than purpose-designed plant, persons are lifted in a work box securely attached to the plant, persons remain substantially within the work box, a safety harness is worn if there is a fall risk, and means exist for the persons to exit safely if normal operation fails.
