Australia Model Code of Practice: Hazardous Manual Tasks 4.6b: 4.6 Control cold, heat, humidity and wind in manual task areas

Cold: relocate work inside or away from cold areas, provide heaters where appropriate, ensure regular rest breaks in a warm place, non-slip footwear and fitted, not bulky or restrictive clothing, and PPE such as gloves that protect from cold and permit a good grip. Heat and humidity: relocate work away from heat sources, provide fans or air-conditioning, shield workers from radiant heat with screens, awnings and clothing, enclose hot processes and increase ventilation, change schedules to cooler times, allow regular short breaks out of the heat in a cool well-ventilated area, set a pace suited to the conditions and provide cool drinking water. Wind: plan routes through protected pathways, use vehicles to move items outdoors and schedule tasks for low wind periods. The guide on working in heat gives more detail.
