Where possible brief designers and engineers on manual task implications, review designer, manufacturer, importer or supplier information about features that remove or reduce manual tasks, talk to suppliers about handling, delivery and storage needs, consult workers and HSRs, compare with similar workplaces and industry guidelines, trial equipment before buying, buy ergonomically designed tools and equipment to suit the work and the workers, and check vibration specifications.
