Australia Model Code of Practice: Hazardous Manual Tasks 1.4d: 1.4 Provide information, training, instruction and supervision, including on PPE (r 39)

The PCBU must ensure so far as reasonably practicable that information, training, instruction or supervision necessary to protect all persons is provided, suitable and adequate having regard to the work, the risks at the time and the controls, and readily understandable (WHS Act s 19; r 39). Workers must be trained by a competent person and have the skills to do the task safely. Information, training and instruction for workers who carry out hazardous manual tasks must include the proper use, wearing, storage and maintenance of PPE. The Regulations also impose specific supervision duties in certain circumstances.
