Australia Model Code of Practice: Hazardous Manual Tasks 1.3c: 1.3 Exercise officer due diligence and make worker and visitor duties known

Officers must exercise due diligence, including taking reasonable steps to make sure the business has and uses appropriate resources and processes to eliminate or minimise risks from hazardous manual tasks (WHS Act s 27). Workers must take reasonable care for their own safety and not adversely affect others, follow reasonable instructions, cooperate with notified policies and use PPE provided as instructed (s 28); other persons at the workplace must take reasonable care and follow reasonable instructions (s 29).
