Australia General Retail Industry Award 2020 (MA000004) 22: Clause 22: pay penalty rates for evening, weekend and public holiday ordinary hours

The employer must pay ordinary hours worked after 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at the percentages of the minimum hourly rate in Table 12 of the current award (consolidated to 1 July 2026, read 30 September 2026), with separate columns for full-time and part-time and for casual employees (casual rates include the loading). By agreement with a full-time or part-time employee, public holiday work may instead be paid at the minimum rate with equivalent paid time added to annual leave or taken off within 28 days, any time not taken within 28 days being paid out.
