Food for sale may consist of or contain any food, subject to the Code, but must comply with every Code provision on the composition of food of its kind, including provisions on the presence of other substances; where a compositional requirement allows 'other foods' or 'other ingredients', that permission does not allow adding a food or substance the Code otherwise does not permit in food or in that food.
