Part 2 Division 2: Discrimination in other areas – Australia Disability Discrimination Act 1992

Australia Disability Discrimination Act 1992 s24: s 24 Goods, services and facilities

Anyone who provides goods or services, or makes facilities available, whether for payment or not, must not discriminate on the ground of disability by refusing them, in the terms or conditions on which they are provided, or in the manner of providing them. Services include banking, insurance, superannuation, finance, entertainment, transport, telecommunications, professional and trade services and government services (s 4). This covers online and digital services, customer communication and service design; reasonable adjustments are required unless unjustifiable hardship is shown.
