ASIC Market Integrity Rules (Securities Markets) 2017 (Australia) 3.5: Hold client money in trust or segregated ADI accounts and reconcile daily, notifying ASIC of deficiencies within two business days

A participant must keep client money for cash market and options transactions in clients' trust accounts (and futures money in segregated accounts) with a suitably rated Australian ADI or approved foreign bank, reconcile each business day by 7.00 pm the next trading day (with weekly per-client reconciliation of trust accounts signed by a supervisor), and notify ASIC in writing within two business days of a missed reconciliation, a deficiency or an inability to reconcile.
