ASEAN Guidelines for Occupational Safety and Health
Section 5: Implementation procedures of the OSHMS in the organisation (5.1 to 5.14) – ASEAN Guidelines for Occupational Safety and Health

ASEAN Guidelines for Occupational Safety and Health 5.6: Implementation through specific procedures for hazard control, training and programme evaluation, with adequate human and financial resources

What does 5.6 require?

The enterprise should build the capability and support needed to carry out its policy, objectives and plan, integrating them into daily operations. Managers establish procedures covering at least hazard prevention and control, training and evaluation of programme effectiveness, and provide an adequate budget, technical information, clearly assigned responsibility, expertise and authority. Implementation starts with the highest-priority action, and the Annex 4 checklist can be used to find gaps in the programme.
