The 2017 clause 4.2 also sets requirements in 4.2.3 (which since A1 cites IEC 60309-2) and 4.2.7 (moved from 4.3.2.6) whose wording is not held; the 2005 edition required the inlet and socket arrangement to connect the corresponding active, neutral, protective earth and bonding conductors of set and installation.
