Section 2: General requirements for the installation of generating sets – AS/NZS 3010:2017 Electrical Installations Generating Sets

AS/NZS 3010:2017 Electrical Installations Generating Sets 2.6.1.2: 2.6.1.2 Isolation from the normal supply system and approval for parallel running

Where a set is not the normal supply, every set must be connected so that it remains separated from the normal supply. Any plan to parallel a set with the normal supply needs the distributor's formal approval in writing (the requirements for parallel operation are outside this Standard).
