Five-yearly: complete all shorter-interval activities; test each supervised input and output circuit for conditions that would stop the signal and confirm a fault registers at the FIP; simulate a circuit fault and confirm the general indications, the ASE (where faults are monitored) and indication at the FIP from any sub-indicator panel; apply short circuits to prove addressable short circuit isolators; drop the CIE supply voltage until the power supervision fault appears and confirm it reaches the monitoring provider (and the FIP shows it for an SIP or distributed supply); remove the last device on each collective detection circuit and confirm a fault at the CIE; functionally test each interfaced system (Appendix D); measure each occupant warning speaker circuit impedance and confirm it is within 15% of the previous reading and does not exceed the amplifier rating; test that loss of each monitoring link is indicated on site; and, where alarm verification is enabled, prove it works with one detector of every type on each circuit.
