Duct or unit electric heaters, yearly (50% a year so all are covered in two years): check casing for overheating, loose connections and insulation, obstructions, fan interlock, airflow failure switch and over-temperature cut-out. Kitchen exhausts: monthly check grease filters, hood, plenum and gutters for grease build-up and filters secure and undamaged, cleaning filters as needed; yearly clean the hood and plenum, replace leaking or damaged filters (non-metallic types at the maker's interval) and check and clean the duct. Outdoor intakes: monthly remove combustible material nearby (non-technical staff may do this); yearly check louvres, insect screens and any oil bath or adhesive filter medium (flashpoint not less than 160 degrees C is advised). Variable frequency inverters: three-monthly dust, connections and cooling fans (monthly where moisture is present); six-monthly damage and overheating; yearly calibration and set points and fire mode override. Pneumatic compressor and receiver stations: three-monthly cut-in and cut-out pressures, overheating, noise and vibration, oil, relief valves, condensate drain, intake filter and breather and belts; yearly sump oil change, pulleys, hold-down bolts, receiver opening and drain valves, corrosion, relief valve setting, test run and unloader behaviour and electrical connections. Motor control centres and low voltage main switchboards, yearly by trade-qualified technicians: busbar and termination tightness, wiring and switches, contacts and relays, overload and fuse ratings against nameplates, connections on vibrating equipment, interpole barriers, cable insulation, cleanliness, panel seals, wiring diagrams, earth continuity and neutral current, plus manual operation of main breakers with power off and riser current against rating.
