AS 1851:2012 Routine Service of Fire Protection Systems and Equipment 1.7: 1.7 Routine service process and procedures

Routine service follows the overarching rules of Section 1, the opening clauses of Sections 2 to 14 and the service schedule tables. The process runs from the first service activity through to the yearly condition report (Figure 1.7 places it as Stage 2, between design, installation and commissioning and the regulatory annual statement). Procedures are carried out to this Standard together with the criteria to which each system or item was designed, installed and commissioned or later modified and recommissioned. Routine service is not a substitute for commissioning, and manufacturers' additional maintenance requirements should also be taken into account.
