ACT Residential Tenancies Act 1997
Part 3 and Schedule 1 clauses 14 to 23A: Bonds and condition reports – ACT Residential Tenancies Act 1997

ACT Residential Tenancies Act 1997 s34: s 34 Bond release form given within 3 or 10 working days

When the agreement ends the lessor must give the tenant (any one co-tenant is enough) a bond release application form signed by the lessor, with written reasons for any deduction claimed and a written estimate of repair or restoration costs where damage or securing costs are claimed: within 3 working days after termination, or 10 working days if damage or securing costs are claimed. This does not apply where a tenant continues under a consecutive agreement. If the tenant does not sign within 10 days, or cannot be found, the lessor may apply alone and the Territory notifies the tenant, who has 2 weeks to dispute.
