ACT Residential Tenancies Act 1997 s29-cl21-23: s 29, Sch 1 cls 21 to 23 Ingoing condition report and retention

No later than the day after the tenant takes possession, the lessor must give the tenant two signed paper copies of a condition report on the premises and any goods leased with them, on or to the effect of the Territory's form (or one editable electronic copy if the tenant agrees). The lessor keeps the condition report for at least 12 months after the tenancy ends (for a consecutive agreement, the original and any later report for 12 months after it ends). If the report is not given, the tenant's own evidence of condition is evidence of the condition at the start.
