ACCME Accreditation Requirements and Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education S3-2: Standard 3.2: exclude owners and employees of ineligible companies from control of content, subject to three narrow exceptions

What does S3-2 require?

The provider must review disclosures to identify owners and employees of ineligible companies and exclude them from controlling content or serving as planners or faculty. Employees (not owners) may take part only where the content is unrelated to their employer's business lines or products, where the content is limited to basic science research or research methodology and they make no care recommendations, or where they participate as technicians teaching the safe and proper use of a medical device without recommending whether or when it is used.
