ACCME Accreditation Requirements and Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education S3-1: Standard 3.1: collect all financial relationships with ineligible companies from everyone in control of content for the prior 24 months, with no minimum threshold

What does S3-1 require?

Before anyone assumes a planner, faculty or content-control role, the provider must collect information on all of that person's financial relationships with ineligible companies in the prior 24 months, regardless of amount or the person's own view of relevance. The disclosure must name the ineligible company and the nature of the relationship (employment, research, consulting, advisory and speaking roles, independent contracting including contracted research, royalties or patents, executive positions, ownership, individual stocks and options). Diversified mutual funds are outside the disclosure; grant funding is reported by the lead or named investigator even where the institution receives and manages the grant.
