Victoria Owners Corporations Act 2006
Part 4: Repairs, maintenance, alterations and entry to lots – Victoria Owners Corporations Act 2006

Victoria Owners Corporations Act 2006 50-51: Entry to a lot: authorised persons and seven days' notice

What does 50-51 require?

An owners corporation may authorise a person to enter a lot to carry out repairs, maintenance or other works it is required or permitted to do, to inspect for that purpose or to comply with a law, and the person may enter at any reasonable time. At least seven days' written notice must be given to the occupier unless the occupier agrees to less or there is an emergency; where the lot is let under a residential rental agreement, the notice required by the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 applies instead. The person entering must cause as little inconvenience as possible and make good any damage.
