Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 s42: s 42 Do not carry out work without a required permit or certificate of competency

Where the regulations say work or an activity (or a class of it) may only be done by the holder of a permit or certificate of competency, nobody may do it in a workplace without holding the permit or certificate covering that work or class under the regulations. Maximum penalty: 100 penalty units (individual) or 500 penalty units (body corporate).
