Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 s40-1: s 40(1) Do not conduct an undertaking at an unlicensed or unregistered workplace

Where the regulations require a workplace, or a class of workplace, to hold a licence or registration, no employer or self-employed person may run an undertaking there unless that licence or registration is in place under the regulations. Maximum penalty: 500 penalty units (individual) or 2500 penalty units (body corporate). The offence is indictable (s 40(5)), though it may be heard summarily.
