The client ensures the principal designer prepares a health and safety file that meets regulation 12(5), is revised to include new information and is kept available for anyone who needs it to meet legal requirements; on disposing of its interest in the structure the client passes the file to the acquirer and makes them aware of its nature and purpose (regulation 4(5)(b) and (7)).
