TSA Pipeline Security 5.2.C1: 5.2 Table 1 criterion 1: service to installations critical to national defense

Designate as critical the facilities whose damage could disrupt or significantly reduce required service to installations critical to national defense. TSA notifies operators that directly serve defense installations or defense industrial base (DIB) manufacturers relying on the commodity for a critical mission. Natural gas distribution and transmission operators designate the facilities that must function to serve such installations or DIB manufacturers with a firm contract; hazardous liquid transmission operators designate those that must function to serve them (no firm contract condition).
