Speech Pathology Australia Professional Standards (2020) 2.7: 2.7 Contribute to the speech pathology evidence base

Elements: (a) open up ways to advance practice by questioning ideas and assumptions and staying receptive to opportunities; (b) share quality evaluation and benchmarking outcomes with stakeholders; (c) take part in research that adds to the profession's evidence base; (d) engage in ethical, inclusive, rigorous research; (e) design, carry out and report research jointly with individuals, their families and networks, and community leaders, Elders and organisations of diverse backgrounds; (f) make sure research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities answers local priorities, is designed with and led by community members, and leaves the community able to see, shape and influence the use of the results.
