RICS Rules of Conduct and Global Professional Standards PAM-2e: Agency: realistic, justifiable price and rent advice

Members and firms must give realistic, justifiable price or rent advice, and must: advise only with thorough market knowledge, in good faith and reflecting current conditions using adequate comparables with any needed adjustments; establish the facts of comparables to confirm they were open-market deals; state the key lease terms behind rent advice; disclose all material facts used; and make clear that a marketing figure is an estimate for marketing only, with any valuation prepared by an appropriately qualified valuer under the applicable standards.
