Queensland Working with Children Check Act 2000 s176I-J: ss 176H to 176J Keep restricted persons out of restricted employment

Restricted employment is work excluded from regulated employment only because it is unpaid work by a child, short (7 days or fewer a year) or a parent volunteering with their own child, or a similar Schedule 1 exclusion. An employer must not employ, or continue to employ, in restricted employment a person it knows, or ought reasonably to know, is a restricted person (holding a negative notice or a suspended authority, a disqualified person without an authority, a person charged with a disqualifying offence, or subject to an adverse interstate decision) (s 176I); the restricted person must not start or continue in it (s 176J). Up to 200 and 500 penalty units respectively, with imprisonment.
