Queensland Working with Children Check Act 2000
Chapter 7: Screening requirements for employers and businesses – Queensland Working with Children Check Act 2000

Queensland Working with Children Check Act 2000 s173: s 173 Verify identity and link the worker to the organisation before giving notice

Before notifying the chief executive that it employs, or proposes to employ, a person in regulated employment, an employer takes reasonable steps to check the person's identity (for example sighting their photo blue card or driver licence) and gives the notice in the approved form and way. The notice links the worker to the organisation so Blue Card Services can tell the employer about any change in the worker's status.
