Rent, payment and records – Queensland Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008

Queensland Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 s95-96: s 95 and s 96 Do not seize the tenant's goods and do not divert rent payments

No one seizes or disposes of a tenant's goods as security for or in payment of rent, reimbursements or damages, except under s 363 or an enforcement warrant. A lessor or agent does not apply money paid as rent to any other purpose; it is treated as rent regardless.
