Queensland Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 s291-246A: s 246A and s 291(2) and (3) No retaliatory action against a tenant who enforces their rights

After a tenant enforces their rights (a notice to remedy breach, a repair request, an emergency repair reimbursement claim or a tribunal application), complains to the Authority or another government body, or while a tribunal order is in force, the lessor does not respond by a notice to remedy (other than for 7 days' rent arrears), a rent increase, action to end the tenancy (including an end of fixed term notice) or refusing a further agreement, to intimidate or punish the tenant; the tribunal can set such action aside.
