Queensland Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 s116: s 116 and s 119 Lodge the bond with the Residential Tenancies Authority within 10 days

Anyone receiving money to be applied to a rental bond pays it to the Residential Tenancies Authority with the approved notice within 10 days. Where the lessor accepts other financial protection (such as a bank guarantee) instead of the full bond, the lessor or agent pays the Authority the maximum bond, or the shortfall, within 10 days. (State-assisted lessors collecting bond instalments lodge within 10 days of the last instalment or of the agreement ending, s 117.)
