A designer must, so far as reasonably practicable, ensure a design given to someone who will give effect to it carries the required information; a manufacturer, importer or supplier must ensure the product is accompanied by the required information when given to another person (including facilitating a sale); an installer must ensure the building owner is given the product information the regulation prescribes; and an architect or engineer who specifies a product must ensure the design carries the prescribed information. Required information states, for each intended use, the product's suitability and any conditions, and instructions for associating it with a building and using it so it is not non-conforming, plus any regulation requirements.
