OSHA Safety and Health Regulations for Construction (29 CFR Part 1926) 1926.904: 1926.904 Storage of explosives and blasting agents

Explosives and related materials must be kept in approved facilities as the ATF rules in 27 CFR part 55 require. Detonating primers, primed cartridges and blasting caps, electric ones included, must be kept in a different magazine from other explosives or blasting agents. Smoking and open flames are prohibited within 50 feet of any magazine for explosives or detonators. Underground, no explosives or blasting agents may be stored permanently until the operation has at least two modes of exit. Permanent underground magazines must sit 300 feet or more from any adit, shaft or active underground working area, and those holding detonators must be at least 50 feet from any magazine holding other explosives or blasting agents.
