OSHA Safety and Health Regulations for Construction (29 CFR Part 1926) 1926.856: 1926.856 Removal of walls, floors, and material with equipment

Mechanical equipment may be used on a floor or working surface only if that surface is strong enough to carry the imposed load. Floor openings must have curbs or stop-logs so equipment cannot run over the edge. Cranes, derricks and other mechanical equipment used in demolition must meet the requirements of Subparts N, O and CC of Part 1926.
