New Zealand Commerce Act 1986
Parts 4 and 4A: Regulated goods and services (electricity lines, gas pipelines, airports, water) and water consumer protection – New Zealand Commerce Act 1986

New Zealand Commerce Act 1986 54-54X: Electricity lines services: information disclosure for all suppliers and default/customised price-quality paths for non-exempt suppliers and Transpower

What does 54-54X require?

All electricity lines services (distribution and Transpower's transmission) are regulated goods subject to information disclosure regulation; lines services not supplied by a consumer-owned supplier (section 54D) also fall under default/customised price-quality regulation, and Transpower to individual price-quality regulation, with exempt status lost on the events section 54H describes. The Commission's section 52P determinations set the requirements, including the default price-quality paths from 1 April of each reset, Transpower's grid upgrade plan approvals and the energy efficiency considerations, and the subpart carries over earlier administrative settlements and thresholds.
