Netherlands Works Councils Act (WOR) 18(1): Art. 18(1) Grant council and committee members paid time for deliberation, at least 60 hours a year

The entrepreneur must offer council members and committee members, for a number of hours per year set jointly with the council, the opportunity in working time and with pay to deliberate among themselves, to consult others on matters they deal with in their task and to acquaint themselves with working conditions in the undertaking; the number is set at what the members reasonably need and may not be fewer than sixty hours a year (18(3)). The council or any member may ask the cantonal court to order compliance (18(4)).
