Minnesota Rules of the Board of Continuing Legal Education 5A-5-6: Suitable setting, accessible faculty or moderator for remote and on-demand delivery, no self-study or banquet speeches

What does 5A-5-6 require?

A course takes place in a classroom or laboratory setting fit for the purpose. Delivery by video recording, simultaneous broadcast, teleconference, audiotape, on-demand access or podcast can be approved if Rule 6E is met and participants can reach a faculty member or moderator by all participants, in person or electronically, so that everyone can take part in the question and answer session. Courses that consist only of correspondence work or self-study are not approved, and speeches at luncheons or banquets do not normally earn credit.
