Minnesota Rules of the Board of Continuing Legal Education 4A: Apply for course approval with the prescribed particulars, one credit category per segment, and pay the fee

What does 4A require?

A sponsor or lawyer seeking approval submits the Board's application (Appendix I) giving the sponsor's name and contact details, the programme title, the city and state, the speakers and their credentials (including moderators for video or satellite delivery), the type of presentation, an agenda with start and end times for each session and the dates, the credit category requested for each segment (standard, which includes professional development and law office management; ethics or professional responsibility; or elimination of bias), the intended audience and anything else the Board asks for. No segment is approved in more than one category. The fee is 35 dollars for a paper application or 20 dollars through OASIS, waivable under Rule 3D(1); no fee applies to a replay of a previously approved recorded course with a live moderator for the question period, or to a live course of 60 minutes or less. The Board tells the applicant the credits granted or denied and posts them on its website.
