Kolb Experiential Learning Cycle E2: Subject expert role: help learners organise reflections into the knowledge base

What does E2 require?

In the subject expert role the educator helps learners organise their reflections and link them to what the discipline already knows, adopting an authoritative, reflective style, teaching by example, modelling and encouraging critical thinking while systematically organising and analysing the subject matter, commonly through lectures and texts. Learners value an educator's command of the field even in seminar formats that do not require lecturing.
